Follow our exclusive coverage of Lebanon’s session before the United Nations Child Rights Committee, during the 75th<\/sup>\u00a0session of the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC), in Geneva on 18-19 May 2017<\/span>.<\/p>\n

This human rights mechanism provides a critical opportunity to provide recommendations to governments to ensure that actions are taken to promote gender equality and women\u2019s and girls\u2019 access to their human rights and fundamental freedoms.<\/p>\n

The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering- RDFL will be present at the meeting and will be advocating and mobilizing the experts and the official Lebanese delegation to support the Law for Protecting Children from Early Marriage, which we drafted and was submitted to the Lebanese Parliament on March 2017.<\/p>\n
