The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering \u2013 RDFL, with the support of Forum ZFD, has established its 6th center in Lebanon which is located in Baalbeck. The center opening came within the framework of \u201cFuture Together Now\u201d Project aiming to build the capacities of women to become pioneers in their societies and provide them with a safe space. The opening was attended by local and international associations, representatives of political parties, municipalities and community and civil society activists.<\/p>\n

The ceremony began with an introduction of the \u201cPioneer Women\u201d Center which is a safe area for women and girls\u00a0 providing social and psychological services. The center also addresses cultural seminars and legal, economic and social awareness sessions. The Center has also been equipped with programs to develop and empower the skills of Lebanese and Syrian women.<\/p>\n

In her speech during the opening, Leyla Mroueh, the President of RDFL, spoke about the stages of the establishment of RDFL and its struggle and RDFL\u2019s work on the advocacy level to end child marriage in Lebanon, and talked about the new center that will be available to all women in order to empower them and develop their expertise.<\/p>\n
