{"id":890,"date":"2019-11-13T09:53:45","date_gmt":"2019-11-13T09:53:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.rdflwomen.org\/eng\/?p=890"},"modified":"2020-01-13T10:14:40","modified_gmt":"2020-01-13T10:14:40","slug":"rdfl-in-nairobi-summit-and-shedecides","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.rdflwomen.org\/eng\/rdfl-in-nairobi-summit-and-shedecides\/","title":{"rendered":"RDFL in Nairobi Summit and SheDecides"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>NAIROBI, Kenya, 14 November 2019<\/p>\n<p>RDFL Participated in The Nairobi Summit on ICPD25 concluded in the Kenyan capital, with partners making bold commitments to transform the world by ending all maternal deaths, unmet need for family planning and gender-based violence and harmful practices against women and girls by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Hayat Mirshad the head of media and campaigning spoke at the signature session of Women Deliver: A Feminist Approach to Humanitarian Action, what grassroots women-focused CSOs need to drive feminist humanitarian action, and pointed out: &#8220;We are working on societies where the patriarchal system is maintaining harmful practices &amp; the status quo. In humanitarian settings, it becomes even more complicated. We must invest in local expertise &amp; listen to women and girls&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">What a discussion! It mobilized more than 1,200 commitments from around the world, including billions of dollars in pledges from public and private sector partners.
