Fe-Male organization and in partnership with the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering, launched a Documentary about women’s image in media and ads directed by Jad Ghoson and entitled “Image Upon Request”. The launching took place on Monday 8th of December at Unesco Palace, Beirut. After showing the documentary a discussion panel was conducted.
\nThe documentary highlights the patriarchal tendencies in the Lebanese society and how this tendency reflects itself in the media, through extracts from different TV series and ads and video clips and billboards and some Lebanese talk shows. The image portrayed of women in the media and ads is discussed and critically assessed in this documentary through interviews with feminists and media and advertisement experts. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
