Feminist Perspective Training on Women’s Rights Organized by RDFL

As part of our ongoing fight for human rights and gender justice, the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering held two training sessions in Beirut, led by activist Layla Mroueh, a prominent member and former president of the gathering. The sessions focused on empowering participants to discuss women’s rights, and develop skills in advocacy and awareness. Lawyer Hadi Nakhoul also led a session on international human rights law and how social and political factors impact women’s rights. The training ended with an exchange of experiences among members, strengthening the commitment to justice for all.

The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering is a secular non-governmental women organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes.
