Program Name: Safe Environments for Women and Girls: Integrating SGBV, SRH and MHPSS in Tripoli-T5 and Akkar

Program Goal: 

Women and girls living in Beirut, the T5 (Tripoli – Northern Lebanon) and Akkar and its surrounding areas experience enhanced safety and wellbeing, and are empowered to make informed decisions about their sexual and reproductive health (SRH). Women and girls feel more protected and are better informed about their legal rights.

Objectives:

  • Strategic Objective One (SO1): Women and girls who are survivors of  risk sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) benefit from comprehensive SGBV case management services including sexual and reproductive health (SRH), mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services, and referrals. Add to that, the beneficiaries benefit from a legal support, (consultation, legal awareness sessions and representation).
  •  Strategic Objective Two (SO2): Women and girls benefit from increased feelings of community support and protection.

 

200 women and girls GBV/SGBV survivors have received case management, psycho-social support, legal information &consultations and full legal support including court representation when needed.

Provision of case management services, psycho- social support, legal consultations and court representation for GBV/SGBV survivors.

The topics will include:

  • Provide case management services, legal consultations and adequate legal support to GBV survivors.
  • Refer women who have undergone case management services and are capable to join the job market.

240 women are more aware about GBV, reporting mechanisms protection means and menstrual hygiene.

Strengthening the knowledge of 210 women on GBV, reporting mechanisms on abuse and protection means.

  • Reporting mechanism on abuse

  • Reproductive health hygiene

320 Men and Women are more aware about women’s rights, child marriage and positive parenting

Strengthening the knowledge of 320 men and women on women’s rights, child marriage effects and positive parenting.

The topics will include:

  • Women’s rights
  • Gender-based discrimination
  • Civil and legal rights concerning Personal status laws and Penal law
  • Child marriage effect
  • Positive parenting
