RDFL Meets with MP Antoine Habchi to Follow Up on the Draft Law Criminalizing Child Marriage

As part of our ongoing parliamentary meetings to follow up on the progress of the law to set a minimum age for marriage and criminalize child marriage, a delegation from RDFL met with MP Antoine Habchi. The delegation included the organization’s Communications and Campaigns Officer, Rasha Wazneh, and lawyer Ms. Ghada Nicolas. The meeting focused on ways to coordinate efforts to advance the proposed law. MP Habchi affirmed his strong commitment to pursuing the draft law he had introduced and co-sponsored with MP George Adwan, and to working toward its referral to the joint parliamentary committees.
