Empowering Women and Girls in Tameer: Awareness and Psychosocial Support under the “Haretna” Project

As part of the “Haretna” project, funded by AFD and Danida, a series of awareness and psychosocial support sessions were implemented at the Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering center in Saida, targeting women and girls from the Tameer area.

The activities included:

– Two awareness sessions on Gender-Based Violence (GBV awareness), targeting women aged between 20 and 60 years.
– One non-focused psychosocial support (Non-Focused PSS) session, attended by two groups of women and girls aged between 15 and 60 years.

These sessions were designed based on the needs and priorities of the participants in the area. They provided safe spaces for emotional release and self-expression, and supported their engagement in social activities that promote their psychological and social well-being.
