Empowering Women Candidates in Keserwan: Municipalities Workshop

The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL) organized the “Municipalities Workshop” at BNB Hub – Zouk Mikael, in collaboration with the General Directorate of Political Affairs at the Ministry of Interior, to support and train women candidates for the municipal and local elections in Keserwan.

The training was led by Ms. Faten Younes, Dr. Josephine Zgheib, and the Gathering’s psychotherapist Priscilla Kassouf. It was an informative and engaging event, marked by practical discussions and meaningful dialogue, creating a true space for empowerment for women seeking to make local change.

The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering is a secular non-governmental women organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes.
