Meeting for Cooperation Between RDFL and the Ministry of Social Affairs

A delegation from RDFL, consisting of the organization’s President, the Head of programs, the Head of Communications and Campaigns, and the Head of the Legal Committee, met with Her Excellency the Minister of Social Affairs, Ms. Haneen El Sayed, to explore avenues for cooperation between the two parties. The discussion addressed the possibility of allocating a permanent space for RDFL within the Ministry’s social centers, enabling the provision of support and empowerment services to women and girls in an institutional environment. The meeting also highlighted the importance of unifying efforts to accelerate the legislative process for setting the age of marriage law, as part of the #NotBefore18 campaign, in order to protect child girls and boys from early marriage. It was agreed that this collaboration will continue within a formal framework that ensures sustainability and alignment with the Ministry’s policies, paving the way for effective programs that promote and protect the rights of women and girls.
