Empowering Women and Girls at Joub Jannine and Doris Centers through Training Courses to Enhance Rights and Skills

As part of the SPA2 project, and in collaboration with Action Aid, The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering conducted various activities at the Doris and Joub Jannine centers in the Bekaa region. These activities included a safe space offering training in computer skills, photography, and self-defense, along with courses on session facilitation and communication.

Additionally, monthly awareness sessions were organized for approximately 220 women and girls, covering topics such as human rights, gender-based violence, and online harassment and extortion. The activities also included psychosocial support sessions for groups.

Furthermore, a “Epoxy Resin” course was held at the Doris center for 12 beneficiaries aged between 18 and 30 years. The course lasted for a month, aiming at the economic empowerment of women by teaching them how to create beautiful art pieces using resin material.
