A meeting between RDFL and the head of the National Commission for women’s Affairs

A delegation from RDFL, headed by the president Ms. Marie Therese Elmir, met with Ms. Claudine Aoun, head of the National Commission for Lebanese women’s Affairs, to follow up the legislative track of the law criminalizing and preventing child marriage in Lebanon, which was submitted by RDFL since 2017.
During the meeting, the importance of cooperation and unification of efforts between the official authorities and the National Coalition for protecting children from early marriage to push towards the adoption of a law setting the age of marriage at 18 years.
