Empowering Communities Through Gender Analysis: RDFL’s Contribution to the Haretna Project in Lebanon
RDFL is happy to be part of the Haretna Project, which is an inspiring initiative focused on community-driven urban recovery in three neighborhoods in Lebanon. It is designed to empower residents to play an active role in shaping the future of their neighborhoods.
Gender analysis is also an important component of Haretna. For this reason, RDFL conducted a “rapid gender analysis” through conducting different focus group discussions (FGDs) with diverse members of the community in Tripoli, Northern Lebanon. Those FGDS aim to help “Haretna” in depicting and designing its activities in the neighborhood in a way that responds to the most urgent needs of the different groups in the region.
Haretna is funded by AFD – Agence Française de Développement and Danida, and implemented by Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) – Lebanon, RDFL, TEC – Tripoli Entrepreneurs Club and COSV – Cooperazione per lo Sviluppo
