Empowerment of youth groups on advocacy with the advocacy coordinator Joel Abdel Aal from the Lebanese
Women Democratic Gathering within the project to empower youth civil society in the Bekaa and Mount 
Lebanon in partnership with Plan International, where the empowerment needs of young people were monitored
for networking and building alliances, the ability to influence and the creation of awareness campaigns for 
Undertaking meaningful and effective initiatives later to support gender equality and sexual and reproductive
rights.

The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering is a secular non-governmental women organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes.
