Interactive theatre to amplify women’s voices and promote their participation in society

As part of the activities marking the Golden Jubilee of the Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering (RDFL), RDFL organized an interactive theatre performance under, RDFL organized an interactive theatre performance in North Lebanon as part of the “Haretna” project, funded by AFD and Danida. The performance was developed and presented by women participating in the project, following a training led by actress and drama therapist Zeina Daccache.
‏Through theatre, the women explored social roles, stereotypes, and societal expectations, and how these affect their lives, choices, and participation. The process created a space for them to express their experiences, challenge traditional roles, and strengthen their confidence and ability to participate and influence.
‏The activity reflects the project’s commitment to protecting and empowering women and girls and strengthening their voices and participation in their communities.
‏Fifty years of struggle continue through the voices of women telling their own stories and shaping their own spaces.
