Psychosocial Support Sessions within the “Haretna” Project

As part of the “Haretna” project funded by AFD and Danida, two non-center-based psychosocial support sessions were held for the residents of the Terabb el-Islam and Terabb el-Masihye area at the Mina Municipality headquarters. The sessions targeted two groups of women aged between 35 and 65, including women with special needs.

These sessions were held based on the needs and priorities of the women in the area, with the aim of reducing the risks of gender-based violence, discrimination, and gender inequality. By providing safe spaces for self-expression and emotional release, the sessions also helped enhance the women’s participation in social activities that support their mental and social well-being.
