RDFL’s participation in the “Souk Le Solidaire” event at the French Embassy

The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering participated over two days in the “Souk Le Solidaire” event held by the French Embassy in Beirut through the exhibition of handicrafts done by GBV survivors who underwent trainings as part of its program for the economic empowerment for women and girls, and also with the participation of one of its members Zahra Sayyed Ahmed, who exhibited her work of moune and food products.

The Lebanese Democratic Women’s Gathering is a secular non-governmental women organization which works with the democratic forces and represents a part of the advocacy secular democratic women’s movement, on the basis of international pacts and treaties, as well as the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Universal Declaration on the Elimination of Violence Against Women, in order to promote women’s status and participation and empower them, aiming at achieving full equality between both sexes.
