The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering launches the extended national workshop to criminalize the marriage of girls and boys in Lebanon.

The Lebanese Women Democratic Gathering launched the two-day extended national workshop to criminalize girls and boys marriage in Lebanon with youth groups and the National Coalition for the Protecting Children from Early Marriage, in cooperation with Plan International and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA), after RDFL had launched its national campaign since 2017 with the coalition to protect children and girls from early marriage. The workshop aimed to develop an advocacy plan for the coalition in a participatory and intersectional approach. A large number of local and international organizations and youth groups participated in the workshop, which provided necessary suggestions and recommendations to develop the campaign advocacy plan, and rationalizing the work of the coalition for the year 2023.
